New Cabling Provider Rules (CPR)

As many are not yet aware, as of June 30th 2014, new legislation was put forth by the ACMA requiring that all tradesmen in the Telecommunications Industry must have up to date endorsements in order to continue operating. This is largely due to many operators within the industry not having received additional or up to date training since they first became registered cablers.
Due to this new legislation, Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) now requires that all tradesmen provide pictorial, and documentary evidence, as well as sit for a practical assessment in order to show that you can complete the task at a satisfactory level of safety, and professionalism.

Once this necessary information has been collected and assessed, if found to be compliant a certificate of competency is issued, and sent to the appropriate registrar for inclusion on the individuals open license.
